Traveling over the Holidays
Make a checklist - writing a list down keeps your mind clear especially this time of year when we are pulled in many different directions.
Flying to your destination, determine whether you are taking or shipping gifts. It can be cheaper & less hassle to ship the gifts in advance, just make sure to insure them and be able to track the package.
Driving to your destination, take the time to make sure your car is up to date on maintenance items.
Preparing your home. Suspend mail and newspaper deliveries, set timers on lights, have a neighbor or house sitter walk through just to make sure everything is ok. Be sure appliances such as washer, dishwasher, etc. are off.
Pets hire a pet sitter to keep pets comfortable in their own environment, or schedule to board at a kennel. Make sure pets are up to date on their immunizations so you don’t have any issues when dropping them off to board.
